Chesterfield
I moved to Chesterfield in North East Derbyshire in the autumn of 2009 and I have really enjoyed getting to know the town and it's people.
As a Chesterfield photographer, I was immediately attracted to the infamous 'Crooked Spire' Chesterfield's iconic symbol and favourite attraction for both visitors and locals can be found right in the centre of the town.
There are a few different explanations voiced by the locals as to how the steeple of the town parish church got to be so crooked. One of the joys of visiting the town is chatting to the local folk and getting their opinion on how their church steeple is like it is.
My image of the 'Crooked Spire', which has proved a best seller, is from a photograph I originated in the summer of 2009. The digital transformation of this picture is our most purchased image in the Chesterfield area. Many prints have been sent by locals all around the world to friends and family as a momento of the town. This image is supplied in all print sizes, on canvas, on photo cards and bookmarks
Another land mark attraction of Chesterfield, is it's market. A colourful bustling area with all the atmosphere you could ever want in a town centre. With the market operating four days a week, more on holdays and special occasions, it is an attraction much loved by locals and visitors to the area, especially with such lovely market traders in attendance!
You can visit me on Saturdays at my stall on the Market. I will be pleased to show you all my work and talk photography and pictures with you.
